Marital Bliss

Emma was never one to have believed in marriage; after all, her mother had never married despite the governs of nature, but the Grimms were never ones to follow societies dictates. But when she was six months pregnant and Braendan got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, she said yes. She knew it would only lead to heartache and difficult-to-answer questions, but she wanted a family for her children and she knew she cared deeply for Braendan and she could feel him making a place in her heart as time passed. And she knew that when he passed, he would leave an unmendable hole in her heart for all eternity, his life time was just a minute to her after all...

Patches had settled in well despite her after litter depression. Helped, Emma was sure, by the fact that they were much closer to the homes of her kittens. Patches had even made a new friend in Grey Cosmos. A Russian Blue belonging to Riley and Zoe Cromos. Having so many others to attend to, Patches was rarely home and Emma found another she sorely missed that had found a permanent place in her heart. Of course, with her upcoming nuptials, Emma didn't have too too much time to ponder on Patches' adventure.

Poor Nautilus had begun to hide up in the rafters to avoid Mercedes so the poor girl was rarely seen anymore. Emma had been slightly surprised that the kitten hadn't hurt Mercedes but instead Mercedes had begun to shove doll dresses onto the poor creature and force her to sit for tea and play with her dolls.

Braendan found it hilarious, but then again, he found everything Mercedes did hilarious and adorable.

With quite a bit of hassle, Braendan and Emma managed to put together a small wedding ceremony before Emma gave birth. Braendan was determined that their baby be born in wedlock. Emma Blood and Diva Flora-the werewolf and genie-both came with Eleanor and Zoey. Satrina Caro-the vampire witch with blood red skin-also came with Llia. And of course Braendan's partner from the police department, Mason Sackholme. Mason stood up with Braendan, Mercedes in his arms while Diva stood with Emma.

To Emma, Braendan had never looked more handsome. Dressed in a black armor, his mint green hair braided down his back and violet eyes alight with joy and love, for the first time, Emma could feel her heart swell and she couldn't wipe the smile off her face.

Despite the happiness and Braendan assuring her that she was the most beautiful woman, she felt fat at eight months pregnant. Her loose, ivory floor length dress did nothing to help the fact but instead seemed to emphasize her big belly. She couldn't even see her feet for heaven's sakes!

But he loved her still and she was getting another lovely baby so it could have been worse.

They exchanged their vows beneath a wedding arch decorated in violet colored flowers, with the sun setting behind them casting an orange glow on the proceedings. To them, it couldn't have been more perfect.

It was rather unfortunate that Emma's water broke right after "I do" and before the kiss.
